I turned twenty-eight today. Two different people sent me the exact same hallmark e-card. The 'Birthday Yodel' one. Weird, eh?
At two o'clock I'm eating some chocolate cake.

A yodel-free happy birthday from me.
Happy 28th! In my opinion, it's all uphill after 25.
Happy b-day. Hope you enjoyed your cake.
Happy Birthday! (Just a few days late, I'm about two weeks behind in my blog reading, but I'm catching up.) Hope it was a good one!
Did I say it's all "uphill" after 25? That's not what I meant really. I meant better. Which I guess might mean "downhill" in terms of ease and comfort, but "downhill" makes me think of picking up speed into the abyss. So I guess I'll just say it's better after 25. I'll be 29 in November and just look at me, I'm a f**king ball of easygoingness, coming back here five days later to correct a possibly misused term.
For some reason, I initially interpreted the 'uphill' comment as a positive thing, which could mean either that I enjoy challenges or am experiencing an early onset of senility. Either way, so far twenty-eight seems like a terrific age to be. The twenty-seven year-olds are totally missing out.
